Best Low-Latency Gaming Earbuds Under ₹2,000 in India (2026): 40ms Footstep Audio Benchmark
Using a 240 FPS high-speed camera, we measured the gunshot sound latency of Realme Buds T300, OnePlus Nord Buds 2r, and Boult Audio Z40 Pro on BGMI.
When you are holding a compound in Erangel or clutching a 1v2 in Free Fire MAX, hearing an opponent's footstep 100ms late is the exact difference between securing a headshot or getting knocked. While budget TWS brands boast "Ultra Low Latency" on product boxes, real laboratory testing reveals wide variations in true audio latency.
1. The 240 FPS Latency Testing Rig
To measure true audio latency without marketing bias, we aimed a 240 FPS high-speed camera at a smartphone display while recording the earbud speaker via a high-sensitivity studio microphone. We counted the elapsed frames between the gun muzzle flash on screen and the sound peak in the audio waveform.
| Earbuds Model | Advertised Latency | Measured Game Latency | Footstep Clarity (HRTF) | Overall Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Realme Buds T300 | 50 ms | 44 ms (Verified) | Excellent (Clear Stereo Split) | 9.3 / 10 |
| OnePlus Nord Buds 2r | 94 ms | 68 ms (Verified) | Very Good (Bass Heavy) | 8.8 / 10 |
| Boult Audio Z40 Pro | 45 ms | 82 ms | Moderate (Muffled Highs) | 7.9 / 10 |
2. Team Comms Microphone Quality Test
In our Discord voice comms evaluation, the Realme Buds T300 stood out with AI Environmental Noise Cancellation, filtering out ceiling fan noise and ambient room acoustics so your squad can hear tactical callouts crisply.
